Korora 23 (Coral) Beta - Now Available

The Korora Project is very pleased to announce that the beta release of version 23 (codename "Coral") is now available for download.

Yumex-DNF issue

This problem appears to have been fixed in the latest update. However it will still affect new installations and those who haven't updated recently. If you see this error please follow the guide below.

There have been a few reports of Yum extender DNF giving errors when updating.

This appears to only affect Korora 22 as 21 still uses Yumex with a Yum backend, not the newer DNF.

When attempting to update everything appears normal until the Apply changes icon is clicked. Then a message appears stating there is an "Error in search for Dependencies". Currently this is known to affect Xfce but other desktops may also see the error.

Korora 22 Flash Update

As we announced when Korora 22 was released, Adobe Flash is no longer included by default. The announcement stated:

Korora 22 (Selina) available

It has been a long road to the Korora 22 (codename "Selina") release and we're sorry that it has taken so long. However, it is now finally available for download (we strongly recommend using BitTorrent).

Korora 20 Peach Reached EOL.

Last week Xfce users on the Korora and Fedora side reported that, after updating their machines, the nm-applet had disappeared. This was/is caused due a bug in gtk3.

Xfce 4.12 & Korora

After more than 2 years development the latest version of the Xfce Desktop Environment was released recently. Version 4.12 brought many improvements both in bug fixes and new features. As you would expect from Xfce the update is stable, evolution rather than revolution. But how can you get it in Korora?

No Updates on KDE on Korora 21

There have been several reports of Korora (and Fedora) 21 KDE not updating. Apper, the KDE Package Manager, will usually show available but this has not been happening for some time.
