HDMI display works but no sound is coming out of the TV, Audio mixer says "hdmi display port (plugged in)"

Display works fine but without audio input, I've tried muting the unused audio devices on the audio mixer, gfx card : AMD Radeon HD 6320, much help is appreciated, edit: Also read around that I might need radeon drivers or an open source one, or just add radeon audio=1 to the grub cfg. thanks, going to read around in the meantime (pretty new to linux/korora)

AMD doesn't develop drivers for Linux anymore afaik, if you installed a linux distro you already use the open source driver. Since i don't have a Radeon card (and no nVidia) i'm not able to help you further with it. I have Intel only over here.

When searching for help on things like this search for Fedora. There are a lot more guides to Fedora and everything that works there will work in Korora. A search for 'Fedora hdmi no sound' brought up a lot of hits

Also see https://kororaproject.org/support/documentation/solving-audio-issues. Let us know how you go as this seems to be a common issue.

Thanks a ton M_aD and ozjd for the input! I should've fiddled with the volume mixer a bit more, didn't have to do much except click the hdmi option for the specific application. pic: https://s21.postimg.org/yenij4r47/Volumemixer_HDMI.png
