Offline updates have text based UI instead of GUI

I've just installed Korora 25 GNOME on my computer (fresh installation) and on doing my first system update (offline update using gnome software), my computer restarted in a text based UI of the update process.

I'm sure that in Korora 24 the offline update process had a GUI (A plymouth theme I think ?) , is there anyway I can get it back ?

I don't use (or recommend) Gnome software for updating but as it restarts and installs I don't see how it could use a gui while doing the installation.

It turns out it's not really a GUI. It's just a plymouth boot screen. I've managed to solve the problem by changing my plymouth theme to "spinner". It seems like there's a bug with the korora plymouth theme that causes plymouth to crash.

I don't believe we theme plymouth. We did include a theme in an older version, about K16 IIRC, and it caused problems for some graphics cards.
