Removing packages

Hi,

When I was using Ubuntu I was able to uninstall a package, it's dependencies and the configuration files with

sudo apt-get --purge autoremove packagename

I've done some research online and I can't seem to see any equivalent command in Fedora based distributions which does all these things including removing the configuration files.

Can anyone help?

Thank you

As I understand it using dnf remove packagename will remove any system configuration files but won't touch the ones in your home directory. I'm not aware of any way to do that automatically..

If your goal is a complete removal, you can manually list the files from a package and remove them. See http://serverfault.com/a/41519/217531 for a description.

Thanks for the suggestion. I haven't tried that but I still don't think it will remove the user's configuration files. It should remove anything created during installation but those files created in the user home when running the application will still be there.
